Effective date: May 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how DLV Financial, LLC ("DLV Financial," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website or interact with our services. By using this website, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact or annuity review request form, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, state of residence, and any additional details you choose to share with us. Where submitting a form is how you agree to be contacted, we also keep a record of that agreement: which version of the consent wording you saw, when you submitted, your IP address, and the page you submitted it from.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we may collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view on our site. This information is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some site features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
- Information from third-party services. We use a small number of third-party services to operate our business and measure marketing performance. These services may receive limited information from your interactions with our website. The services currently in use are:
- Calendly - schedules consultations after you submit a form.
- Supabase - stores the form submissions and contact details you provide to us.
- Meta Pixel - measures the effectiveness of advertising we run on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram).
- Google Analytics - measures how visitors find and use our website so that we can improve it.
- Vercel - hosts the website and provides basic performance and traffic analytics.
- Collegiate Funding Solutions - provides the college planning report tool on our college planning pages. If you choose to complete that form, the information you enter in it, which includes details about your family's finances, is submitted to Collegiate Funding Solutions and is handled under their privacy practices as well as ours. You do not have to use the tool to work with us.
- jQuery and Bootstrap content delivery networks - supply the code the report tool above needs in order to run. They receive your IP address and browser type when that tool loads, and nothing you type into it.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up about your annuity comparison request.
- Match you with one of our licensed insurance professionals and arrange a time to speak with you.
- Communicate with you about your inquiry, including by phone, email, and text where you have provided contact information.
- Send you marketing communications about DLV Financial's services, only where you have opted in to receive them. You can opt out at any time using the instructions in any marketing email we send.
- Improve our website, content, and services through analytics and site performance measurement.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations, including state insurance regulations.
3. How we share your information
We share your information only as described below:
- Service providers. We share information with the third-party services listed in section 1, which help us operate our business. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the services they perform for us.
- Insurance carriers. When you decide to apply for an annuity or other insurance product, we share the information necessary to complete your application with the issuing carrier.
- Legal and regulatory authorities. We may disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DLV Financial, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. If DLV Financial is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of its business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Your rights and choices
You have the following choices regarding the information we collect about you:
- Marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email we send, or by contacting us at the address below.
- Update or correct your information. If your contact information changes, you can request an update by emailing us.
- Delete your information. You can request that we delete the personal information we hold about you. We may retain certain information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
- State-specific rights. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and certain other states may have additional rights under their state privacy laws, including the right to access, delete, or restrict certain processing of their personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 11.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Lead and contact information is generally retained for seven years from your last contact with us.
Documents you send through our secure upload page are treated differently. We store them privately, and only members of our team can view them, after signing in with two-step verification. We use them only to prepare the service you chose.
We delete uploaded documents 90 days after our review is complete. You may ask us to delete them sooner at any time by calling (325) 221-2323 or emailing cris@dlvfinancial.com.
After deletion we keep a record that a document was received and reviewed, including its name, size and the dates involved, but not the document itself. The seven-year period above applies to lead and contact information, not to uploaded documents.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's privacy
Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including carriers and other service providers. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
9. Licensing
DLV Financial works through individually licensed insurance professionals. Our team members are currently licensed in Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Florida. Insurance products and services may not be available in all states, and we can only assist residents of states where one of our team members is properly licensed.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the effective date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
